William T. Richardson is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Tift Regional Medical Center.  He has held this position since 1988.  Prior to 1988, he held CEO positions at Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro and Vice President positions at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia.  He received his Master of Science Degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Alabama.  He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

He currently serves on the boards of Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA) – GA; Phoenix Healthcare Corporation;  Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals (immediate past chairman); Georgia Hospital Association (chairman-elect); 1st Medical Network and Southwest Georgia Cancer Coalition.  Locally he serves on the boards of Tiftarea YMCA  (charter board member);Tifton/Tift County Chamber of Commerce (immediate past chairman); Board of Directors – 1st Community Bank (Synovus) and is a member of the Rotary Club of Tifton.

He and his wife, Debbie, have three children and one grandchild.
